Artistic and Affordable

Planning a wedding is a big deal!
Flowers are a very very important ingredient to your day. They are alive, fresh, fragrant, symbolic, beautiful, attention getting, colorful and are in all the pictures (especially the bridal bouquet)! However, the questions you may be asking are: What should I spend? What kinds of flowers should I use? What colors will look best? What is my sytle? What floral items will I need?

Advice from Melinda:

Every girl comes to me with preferences and expectations. It is my job to help you find your "look", help you narrow down your choices, and help you bring harmony and beauty to the entire day. You may want to find out ahead of time who will pay for what.

Experts say that one can expect the flowers to cost between 10% and 25% of the overall wedding budget, but I believe it is also about what you value. Remember, your guests should come first. Their enjoyment of the food, friends, music and the feelings they get while sitting for quite a lot of time at the table is what they come away with. If there's only a few candles on a mirror, this may communicate that the manicures, limos, jewelry, dresses, horse drawn carriages, etc. are more important than they are. Often brides leave the tables to the end of the planning when the budget is used up for everything else. I highly recommend not doing this! Even a simple basket of mums, daisies and greenery with some tapers says a lot and creates a beautiful reception centerpiece. There are so many creative ideas.....

Please contact me with any questions, however, if you are serious about using my services, please set up a free consultation meeting with me so we can talk further. I am not fond of quoting exact prices over the phone. I will email or mail you a questionaire to fill out which will help me prepare for the meeting. Be sure to collect pictures and color swatches to bring with you to the first appointment.

I look forward to meeting you in person to hear about your wedding dreams!
